People from other cities would like to sign my petition. How do they find a petition to sign?

    Who are your major funders?

My name is Casey. Some folks and I from Occupy Santa Cruz were hoping to crash a meeting with Label GMOs to talk or perhaps collaborate, and was wondering when this might be.

Occupy Santa Cruz has an upcoming event on February 27th and were looking for supporters, not just for this event but for future collaborations as well. You can view more about it here:

We are promoting local, sustainable and organic food systems as an alternative to the corporate dominance that essentially monopolizes our food systems today.

Hi how can I help? I live in Maui and monsanto is on our island.

Please keep us posted with updated news. Is the petition out? It is now February 19, 2012.

I have been signed up for a few days now and no one has contacted me. Is there a phone number I can call to talk to someone directly?

I live a 4 hour round trip from the nearest event—and cannot attend. But on 2/29 we are having an event that we would like to collect signatures at. Kindly provide us with petitions.

Our county (Trinity) passed an ordinance that prohibits the growing of GMOs flora or fauna, with significant fines for doing so. Would you like a copy as a template, etc.?

Where will we be able to sign the petition??
  • commented 2012-02-17 09:53:32 -0800
Once you start gathering signatures, would it be possible for people to go online and mail themselves petitions they can sign and then send back to you?
  • commented 2012-02-17 09:50:16 -0800
Once you start gathering signatures, will there be anywhere online where people can see how many signatures have been gathered and how much time is left to gather the rest?

Can you put me on your mailing list for press releases? I maintain a small news oriented site. Thanks.

I tried to post to facebook but then the app asked for all my personal info and to be able to post to Facebook as me. I think that is extreme. I use these apps everytime I sign a petition and they don’t require me to give up my privacy and they post to Facebook within a couple of seconds. . When I tried to skip the posting as me part, it put me on another screen. So I signed off. The Nation Builder App doesn’t deliver and it doesn’t work very well either….

I am serious about getting involved but work from 5pm till 12 or second shift so I am unable to go to training for signature gathering. I would be able to gather sig’s anytime during the day before going to work. I just need the proper training…willing and able.

    Hi Pam,

I was contacted by a phone rep from the OCA and I volunteered to help gather signatures in Red Bluff and Redding. I never heard back and was surprised to see the last training in my area is today in Chico.

I teach martial arts during the week, but I cannot get someone to cover my class tonight. What can I do? I will travel to Redding or Chico perhaps further. Feel free to call or email.

    Thanks, Sensei Bill

Love the site and the work being done. I was just wondering, if Monsanto owns the largest seed company, how can we know that they haven’t modified our the seeds in organic food already?

The LabelGMOs petitions are being distributed THIS week. Our northern CA counties will have them in hand FRI, Feb 17th. We’re starting signature gathering on SAT, Feb 18th.

I don’t know about other CA counties. Check with your local coordinators!

When can we start signature gathering?
  • commented 2012-02-11 23:05:48 -0800

I was looking for the schedule of petition-gathering spots.

BTW the search for events within 5 miles of my home in Santa Cruz showed me an event in Chico (which is a lot more than 5 miles away).

HI, I’m in the Imperial Valley/County, California. I need to have the signature schedules for the petition signing for this area. Please provide the schedule so that I can get involved. This is an important issue that I completely support.

Can you leave petitions at local CSA’s? Laguna Farm in Sebastopol, for example, has I think about 400 or so members, probably all of whom would sign. If you don’t do that, where will you be, so I can sign myself and encourage others to sign.

We’d like to get this going in Connecticut as well. Do you have any resource information you can point us to?

Look up Natural Health EXPO West, March 2012 in Anaheim CA. There will be thousands of people at this event an may be a good place for your organization to get signatures. It’s a full house event every year.

Exceptionally creative way to get in California what many countries around the world already have, because fair GMO food labeling is simple common sense. It’s not fair in the USA because Monsanto lives here, and Monsanto blocks GMO labeling at every turn.

I would like to cite your paper on “GM Crops: Just the Science” but I can’t find any information about publication date or author/editor. Thank you for this valuable work.

I need to have the signature schedules for the petition signing in Orange County. Our Environmental Sustainability group would like to help with this. Please provide the schedule so that I can get volunteers names, info. and times to John Diaz.

    Thank you!

I am against GMO foods and want full disclosure on food labels. Is there a petition to sign???
  • commented 2012-02-03 07:02:57 -0800
Please consider using the full spelling of GMO. It will have much more impact that GMO. Genetically modified (the first two words) are downright scary …!!! Saying and writing GMO is simply not mind provoking as is the full spelled out horror we are subjected to. May I hear from someone on this ???? I personally tested out my theory….
